My Wonderful Walls Farm Stencil Kit Fits the Bill For First-Time Parents

Oct. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- Maggie and her husband, a Kentucky couple expecting their first baby, recently found the perfect solution to their nursery decoration needs while surfing the web a few months ago. Maggie and her husband quickly chose the Farm Theme kit, which was a perfect fit on multiple levels. Maggie had spent her childhood on a farm where she rode horses and enjoyed life in a simple, country setting. Maggie was very pleased with how simple the entire process was, saying, “The instructions were very straight forward and the stencils were very easy to use… my nine-year-old step-daughter helped me place and paint the stencils and we were able to get painting very quickly. We started placing and painting the larger stencils on Saturday morning and we were done painting and all cleaned up by the next afternoon!”

One of the most unique and challenging parts of the project ended up being the barn. As the couple lives in Central Kentucky where the traditional red barn color has been replaced over the years by stone farmhouses and barns, the couple knew that they had to try to reflect the historical structures into their mural. Fortunately the stencil kit came with a large barn stencil, and all Maggie had to do was experiment with several different painting techniques on cardboard to find a painting process that accurately reflected the stone barns in their area. She was then easily able to take that pattern and re-create it on the walls themselves.
