Follow on Google News | The Legacy at Willow Bend Celebrates Tashlich Service with Family and FriendsMembers of The Legacy at Willow Bend, Plano’s first and only life care retirement community, gathered with friends and family around the community’s courtyard fountain to partake in a Tashlich service as part of the observance of Rosh Hashanah.
By: Forte PR Rabbi Andrew Paley and Cantor Don Croll from Temple Shalom led the members in the traditional Tashlich prayers and songs, followed by the blowing of the shofar. Everyone then tossed a handful of breadcrumbs into the fountain to symbolically release past sins and transgressions and to ask God for forgiveness in the new year ahead. “Our annual Tashlich service by the courtyard fountain is always beautiful and special for our members and their families,” said Lana Van Giesen, executive director, The Legacy at Willow Bend. “We make a very traditional service unique to our community, and I am thankful to everyone who continues to make it memorable every year.” The Legacy at Willow Bend, Plano’s first and only life care retirement community, is situated on a 28-acre site at Spring Creek Parkway between Preston Road and Ohio Drive.
