Oct. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- The Destination Guide asked its fans to recommend the best places to visit in Raleigh, narrowed our favorites down based on highly secretive criteria, then traveled — camera in hand — to go behind the scenes. Below are our Best of Raleigh winners. The area we covered goes beyond Raleigh proper into what is known as the “Triangle.” Each is a unique business with a devoted following, encouraging story and stellar reputation among its peers. The Savannah competition came down to the wire, as Doc’s Bar in nearby Tybee Island edged out Case Veterinary Hospital, Churchill’s Pub, Vic’s on the River, The Armstrong Inns, Johnnie Ganem’s Winery & Package Store and Blue Orb Ghost Tours.

The Charleston competition was equally as competitive with Patrick Vet and Black Bean Company both winding up in a virtual tie. With King Street Grille, and King George IV right on their heels.

The Destin competition had a late flurry of action as Henderson Park Inn, pulled away from Harmony Beach Vacations. And in Pensacola, Papa's Pizza stood alone as an outright winner from start to finish.
