Texas Rangers Executive Coaches Parents of Young Athletes at Pantego Christian Academy

Oct. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- October 10, 2011 (Arlington, Texas) - Pantego Christian Academy (PCA), a private college preparatory PreK-12 school with campuses in Arlington and Mansfield, pulls parents into the huddle with a presentation on “Being a Positive Sports Parent.”  It’s part of an ongoing speaker series partnering with parents to serve as role models for their children.  

The speakers panel features Dr. Jacob Resche, Director of the UTA Brain Injury Lab;  Texas Health Resources Sports Medicine Specialist Dr. Damond Blueitt and Texas Rangers Senior Executive Vice President Jim Sundberg.  Sundberg is a former PCA parent.

The team will address the impact of sports both physically and emotionally on young athletes. Parents will be able to gain insight from these experts, as well as ask questions of their own.

“We are excited to provide an evening which focuses on Positive Sports Parenting for our PCA families,” says PCA Athletic Director Steve Hohulin.  “With a large number of our students engaged in extra-curricular activities, this evening will provide expert advice and guidelines for parents of athletes.”

The school and experts believe by educating parents on the latest research, techniques and leadership models, they will equip families to thrive in athletics and in every day pursuits.
