“We have been committed to recycling and conserving for several years,” says Cynde Fleck, PCU’s Training Manager. “We decided it was time to let our members, and potential members, know how committed we are to protecting the environment.” PCU employs a number of green practices, including: paperless transactions; In addition, PCU encourages its members to participate in its green initiatives by sponsoring “Community Shred Days” at its various branches. The GBB is a nationally‐recognized, third‐party program providing certification for businesses that follow environmentally responsible practices. “The GBB seemed genuinely interested in making sure companies were truly green, rather than just taking our money and then giving us a green seal,” says Fleck.
