Denver Christkindl Market to Open November 25, Special Events Announced

Oct. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- DENVER, Colo.  – The 11th Annual Denver Christkindl Market will open November 25, 2011, at Denver’s Skyline Park along the 16th Street Mall according to the Colorado Chapter of the German American Chamber of Commerce (GACC).  Special events are scheduled throughout the duration of the Market including singing, music, dancing and special appearances by a German Christkindl.

The market’s general manager, Joshua Seeberg, says "The 2011 market has an extensive daily entertainment program lined up and we have created a number of special events occurring during the course of market." These include:

Grand Opening Ceremony on Saturday, November 26 at 5pm. The market’s Christkindl will appear and give the Prologue followed by comments from several dignitaries.

Week one has been designated “German Week” and will feature several Stammtisch (German language group) meetings in the evenings as well as German music with food and drink specials. Want to meet European business people? The join the GACC on December 1 when they will be hosting a Euro-Networking event.

For the Parade of Lights on December 2 & 3, the Market will remain open past its standard Friday and Saturday closing time of 9pm.

Week two is “Children’s Week” during which St Nickolas’ birthday will be celebrated on December 6. A variety of children’s activities are planned on December 5, 6 and 7.

Week three is designated “The Greatest Generation Week” with special music and entertainment for seniors and veterans on December 12 to 14 during the day.

Week four is dedicated to last minute shoppers needing to quickly find a distinctive gift for someone special.

Seeberg also noted that the Market’s heated venue is available for office or family holiday celebrations providing a unique cheery atmosphere for something different.
