By: Kim Rymer, Communications Director “Volunteers of America-Minnesota’ Michael Kennedy, is chief financial officer for Atterro Human Capital Group where his focus is financial planning and reporting, risk management, capital attainment, banking, contracts, compliance and corporate governance. Mike has served other corporations as chief financial officer since 1996 and is a certified public accountant with extensive background in SEC reporting, investor relations, private and institutional financing and cash management activities. He received a bachelor’s degree from Hamline University, a master’s degree from the University of St. Thomas, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA), Financial Executives Institute (FEI), and numerous other industry groups and associations. Richard Pavelka, is an audit/accounting partner for Wipfli, LLP where he sits on the firm-wide Quality Assurance Committee and the Employee Benefit Plan Technical Issues Committee. With over 35 years of audit and accounting experience, Rick has a diversified background working with companies in all stages of development from start-up companies seeking private placement financing, to well-established companies with multi-national operations. He is a certified public accountant and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota. He is a is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA), Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and numerous other industry groups and associations.
