Venturi hoppers structure

Mud mixing venturi hoppers including the hopper, sack table, sack cutter, hex bushing, union, swage, jet nozzle, the Tee, the butterfly valve, and the venturi, connection for connecting the pump output, furthermore, the jet nozzle to venturi gap for maximum efficiency

Above configuration is common and popular design. Widely used on mud mixing pump or system for oil and gas drilling, HDD, geothermal well drilling, CSM Exploration, etc.


Venturi hopper dimension

Usually, the venturi hopper for mud mixing pump will be designed as 700x700mm. Means the hopper diameter is 14" or 350mm. Of course thie dimension is general one. Besides this, there is also 750x750mm, 600x600mm, and 500x500mm venturi hoppers.

The height will be about 42 1/2", the length is about 55", while the hopper wideth with sack table will be about 46 1/4"

Each part dimension is relative. For example, when the hopper is 6" the venturi must be 6". Then, the union is 3", and jet nozzle is 2 in, the Tee will be 6 in also. Butterfly valve is 6", and 1 1/4" to 3 1/8"  jet nozzle to venturi gap, the connection is 6 inches too.

Questioned dimension is proper and optimal one. Unless client request special requirements, the venturi hoppers dimension will be configured as above. We also can find enclosed sketch for reference on dimension.


Venturi hoppers producer
