Oct. 13, 2011 - PRLog -- While cloud- and IT-based technologies have been instrumental in spurring the growth of the global outsourcing and call center markets, the progression of globalization has also been key in opening new markets.

A survey released this week by ESTA Labs points out how IT and business process outsourcing markets are undergoing a fundamental structural shift as a result of new technologies and growth trends, underscoring the need for industry leaders to adopt strategies that place them ahead of the tightening market.

According to the report, roughly half of all outsourcing deals are expected to be at least partially cloud-enabled by 2015. Over the same period, BPO utilities will emerge as the "preferred means of consuming horizontal/commoditized BPO offerings such as F&A, procurement, and HR."

"The IT and BPO services market is undergoing a period of deep structural change that is challenging the finely tuned market positions and business models of traditional services providers," the report notes.

Meanwhile, global outsourcing revenues are expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 8.35 percent by 2016.
