Follow on Google News | Huffhines Art Trails Festival to Feature Personalities From WFAA-TV Channel 8 at Family First TablesAlong with art, music, food and fun, the award-winning Huffhines Art Trails Festival on October 22-23 will feature popular on-air personalities from WFAA-TV Channel 8.
By: Huffhines Art Trails Festival Manning the Family First tables at the festival on Saturday, October 22, will be correspondent Jonathan Betz, anchor Casey Norton and senior reporter Cynthia Vega. They will sign autographs and meet viewers and festival attendees. Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with free admission and free parking. Huffhines Park, at 1500 Apollo Road in Richardson, is adjacent to the city’s new Huffhines Recreation Center. The 35th annual Huffhines Art Trails Festival is a fall tradition that features 150 artisans and craftsmen showcasing a wide variety of contemporary, traditional and country crafts – jewelry to woodwork, metal work to fiber, painting to photography, pottery to glass – and fine art. WFAA-TV's Family First program is in its 18th year of providing news-driven, community-focused broadcast content – internet and event-based information to help North Texas families live stronger, safer and healthier lives. Each year, Family First delivers four different North Texas-based "Day in the Community" events, a Family First Day at the Dallas Zoo and sponsor-highlighted televised vignettes featuring WFAA's on-air personalities. Besides art and crafts, Huffhines Art Trails offers live entertainment from the Front Porch Stage and dance floor. For the kids, there’s a built-in playground and a hay bale maze, and the “Huffhines Hunt” scavenger hunt through the winding trails of the park. Along with the fun, feast on festival foods – Hillbilly KettleKorn, Mario’s Greek Cuisine, Conway’s Corny Dogs, Texas Twist Soft Pretzels, Dippin Dots Ice Cream, D & L Catering and Bunch of Nuts.
