Oct. 24, 2011 - PRLog -- (Jacksonville, FL) - Nationally Syndicated Radio Show, Lex & Terry, hired Jacksonville Attorney John M. Phillips to protect their interests and seek compensation due under a contract with radio station, WJXL, known as 1010XL in Jacksonville, Florida.

The Lex & Terry Show originated in Jacksonville in 1992 and began national syndication in 1997. The show currently is broadcast from Dallas and is syndicated on XM Radio and in 17 cities across the United States.

In April of 2011, Lex & Terry entered a three-year agreement to return to the airwaves of Jacksonville with WJXL.  At that time, Steven Griffin, President and General Manager of Seven Bridges Radio, which owns 1010XL, said “We are thrilled to announce that one of the signature shows in Jacksonville’s radio history is returning to Jacksonville.”

However, Lex & Terry were pulled from the airwaves on Monday October 10 on what WJXL called "10/10 day."  On social media, WJXL cited listener request as the reason for the change.

Lex & Terry have hired attorney John M. Phillips. Ironically enough, he is the host of his own weekend show on 1010XL, calledSports & Courts.

On his show on Sunday, John acknowledged that it would probably be his final show, stating “if you don't hear from me for a little while, know that I love you guys (the listeners) and have appreciated this show.” Terry James even called in thanking the listeners of 1010XL that supported "Lex & Terry."

When asked about the circumstances, John Phillips said, “For months I have preached accountability on my radio show.  Whether someone is injured at the hands of another like Erin Joynt (a notable personal injury client Phillips also represents) or someone wants to simply get out of a contract because of personal preference, the law enforces accountability.  WJXL is accountable to Lex & Terry and hopefully this matter will be resolved soon.”

Lex & Terry can be heard on its syndicated stations, XM Extreme channel 165, Podcasts and streamed on lexandterry.com and have streaming apps on iPhone, Droid, and Blackberry.
