Oct. 31, 2011 - PRLog -- Local insurance agents learned about concerns of ethical decision-making during continuing education (CE) training by Glass Doctor of Quincy, owned by Mike Monaghan, last week. CE class credits are required for agents to keep their licenses.

More than 21 people attended the “Ethical Case Studies: Glass Claims 101” class, which was taught by a member Glass Doctor Business Development Team.

“Our presentation is designed to teach attendees to step away from cases, and view the different perspectives and ethical implications before reaching a decision,” Business Development Manager Darlene Vise said.

The Business Development Team member presented ethics in decision making using analytical tools to view “grey area” situations from all perspectives to determine the correct action to take. Role play videos are used to portray various agent/policyholder and agent/service vendor interactions that routinely occur, followed by interactive discussion and analysis of each to determine the ethical action to take. Glass claims examples are given, but the general discussion also applies to and includes all types of property repair and construction claims.
