Pet Shippers Converge in Hong Kong for Int'l Pet and Animal Transportation Association Conference

The IPATA International Conference, the world's largest gathering of pet shipping professionals, commences in Hong Kong.

Nov. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- Pet shippers from around the globe are gathering at the Eaton Hotel in Hong Kong for the International Pet and Animal Transportation Association’s (IPATA) 35th Annual Conference. This year, IPATA welcomes more than 180 pet shippers – the largest conference in its history. Hot topics include: how pet shippers can work more closely with airlines, disaster preparedness and how to ship animals into Asian countries.

The IPATA International Conference is the world's largest gathering of pet shipping professionals. Attendees include animal handlers, pet moving providers, kennel operators, veterinarians and others who are dedicated to the care and welfare of pets during transport.

The 2011 Millie Woolf Memorial Leadership Award will be presented by Dr. Walter Woolf, in memory of his wife who lost her battle with cancer. Millie Woolf was a founding member of IPATA. The award celebrates the work of one member who contributed to the community and rewards a $2,000 stipend to continue these works or donate to a special cause. IPATA will also be presenting the Excellence Award, Industry Partner Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The conference will feature professional speaker Jonathan Low, an inspirational, motivational and transformational speaker that inspires, challenges and empowers people to rise up from their current state and imagine the possibilities and potential that is within them.
