Art4Vision Presents an Evening with Art Wolfe, December 3rd at Museum of Art of Fort Lauderdale

Nov. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- Art4Vision, a non profit foundation benefitting vision research, presents an evening with Art Wolfe, the world renowned artist and photographer and host of the PBS series “Travels to the Edge.”

The event will take place on December 3rd, 2011 from 6pm to 10pm, and tickets are $200 per plate. Guests will be treated to an exclusive multi-media presentation by Art Wolfe during a seated dinner. Prior to the dinner, guests will enjoy a private viewing of the new exhibit at the Museum of Art, Offering of the Angels: Old Master Paintings and Tapestries from the Uffizi Gallery

The Art4Vision Foundation sponsors all costs associated with the event so that 100% of all proceeds directly benefit the Macula Vision Research Foundation.

Wolfe’s presentation will recount his work in the Himalaya region of India, China, Nepal and Bhutan, locations that triggered his imagination and wonder towards a path of blending his creativity and art with photography while documenting the wild world.

The Art4Vision Foundation was recently founded by local retinal specialist, Dr. Scott Anagnoste, MD of the Retina Group of Florida. Dr. Anagnoste comments, “I founded the Art4Vision Foundation to help remind people, particularly those interested in the visual arts, of the huge impact eye disease and vision loss can have on the quality of our lives.  In so doing, I hope to encourage more awareness, participation, and support of organizations that sponsor vision research and thus help reduce the impact of eye disease in the future.”

Dr. Anagnoste selected the Macula Vision Research Foundation as the main beneficiary of the Art4Vision Foundation function due to their operating policy of zero overhead. Thanks to the Karen and Herb Lotman Foundation, 100% of all donations directly benefit vision research.


The Art4Vision Foundation is a non-profit foundation benefitting vision research founded by Dr. Scott Anagnoste, MD. In addition to fundraising events, Art4Vision will exhibit various photographers in their gallery located at 1015 East Las Olas Blvd.
