Doris Day's Complete Christmas Catalog Now on Sampod4u.com

Nov. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- Doris Day had her first Christmas Hit in the mid 40's as a band vocalist with Les Brown. It was the only version to compete for top honors with Nat King Cole on the now famous "The Christmas Song".
From then till now, she has had several single releases but only one album in the mid 60's, which did not contain her earlier releases. The earlier releases included such songs as "Ol St Nicholas" and "Here Comes Santa Claus", the first of which was featured in her Warner Brothers Film, "The Winning Team", in which she co-starred with Ronald Reagan.
That 1964 album also was incomplete because it omitted several popular songs that she recorded or sang before or after its release. These included "Deck The Halls" and a definitive version of "Silent Night" from her 1952 radio show.
Last year, Sony/Columbia Records released what they have called Her Complete Christmas Collection. Ironically, it is not complete. It left off some earlier and even later recordings. The Sampod Folks have rectified this omission. All of the songs by Doris in a Christmas/holiday mode can be found on the website on the "JUST DORIS" page.
