Manila Doctors Hospital Provides San Simon Locals with Free Meds, Services

Nov. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- Manila Doctors Hospital (MDH) and Metrobank Foundation Inc. (MBFI) conducted a medical mission in San Simon, Pampanga, after the said locality suffered losses and casualties due to Typhoons Pedring and Quiel. One hundred doctors and employees were mobilized to provide assistance in the form of free consultations, screenings, pulmonary services, and medicines to the 3,000 residents who flocked the San Simon Covered Court recently.

“Manila Doctors Hospital sees this as an extension of our mission to provide quality service especially to the victims of the last two typhoons in Pampanga. By providing all those in need with free medical services, we provide them with another chance to start living better, healthier lives for themselves and for their families,” MDH Medical Director Mario Juco said.

Pampanga’s Vice-Governor Yeng Guiao, Provincial Administrator Andres Pangilinan, Jr., Fourth District Board Members Nestor Tolentino and Ricardo Yabut, and Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Officer Art Punsalan were on hand to assist in the mission.

MDH Senior Vice-President for Medical Affairs Dr. Dante Morales also took the occasion to turn-over Metrobank Foundation’s donation of Php500,000 to Pampanga’s local government for the rehabilitation of devastated areas.
