PRLog -- The spud date for Southlake's Birdwell 2H well has been set for the week of November 21, 2011. Our drilling contractor for the Birdwell 2H is MCG Drilling of Archer City, Texas. MCG runs several rigs and Southlake has contracted to use a specific MCG rig for the drilling of the Birdwell 2H. The rig that Southlake has contracted to use is currently delayed on another company's well. As soon as the drilling on that well is finished, MCG will transport the rig to the Birdwell 2H location. At this date, MCG estimates it will be on the Birdwell 2H location sometime during the week of November 21st. November 21st is Thanksgiving week and should the rig arrive prior to that Thursday, MCG will work / drill through the Thanksgiving holiday. For those investors who are planning a trip to visit the Birdwell 2H location, Southlake suggests you plan your trip to arrive the week of November 28, 2011 or after in order to be able to view the drilling activity of the Birdwell 2H. Delays in rig availability are common place and unfortunately Southlake is experiencing this on the Birdwell 2H. Everything else associated with drilling the Birdwell 2H is in place and ready to go. Should the scheduled spud date change, we will inform you as soon as possible. For more information, go to:
