Moore - APM Public Relations McGlown’s jazz cd titled, “Free to Love”, will be released on February 2, 2012. “Tenderly” A talented drummer, she has played for gospel notables such as Marvin Sapp, Fred Hammond, Rance Allen, Dr. Mattie Moss-Clark, Vickie Winan, The Clark Sisters, The Winans, Donald Vails, Twinkie Clark, and other nationally-known artists since the age of 10. As a vocalist and songwriter, Lisa has worked with: Percy Bady, Candi Staton, Wayne Linsey, Bill Maxwell, Scott V. Smith, Babbie Mason, Derrick Lee, Vernessa Mitchell, Maurice Starr, Ronnie Song, Daniel Winans, Sanchez Harley, Vance Taylor to name a few. With some of her past records hitting the top of Billboard’s charts and reaching gold status, her music is definitely not shy of heavy radio airplay. In 1992, the song, "Reap What You Sow," co-written by McGlown, was released by world renowned producer, Junior Vazquez (“Sunday Drive Volume 1”, which featured Vernessa Mitchell, Cher, Annie Lennox and many other music greats). "Reap What You Sow" reached gold status in Europe. In 2006, she wrote and co-produced her first Gospel cd entitled, “Lisa McGlown & Friends”. In 2009, Lisa released the singles, "Dance All Night" which is still enjoying worldwide radio airplay in all music formats and her jazzy rendition of the Christmas classic, "Gloria." In a recent interview McGlown explained that while she is a Jazz artist, she writes every genre of music. “I write whatever God inspires me to write whether it’s gospel, jazz, or love. My goal is to do songs that penetrate people’s hearts and bring about change,” she says. “I’m a songwriter that happens to sing.” Stay tuned! This is only the beginning of McGlown's journey. McGlown will hit the big screen in her upcoming acting debut in the jazz film, "Harlem Memories", where she plays the famous Ethel Waters, a blues, jazz and gospel vocalist & actress. The film is due to be released in February 2012 in the California and Atlanta market. McGlown initially got a taste of acting and was featured in E.U.'s "Taste of Your Love" video in 1989.
