This grant was our last hope.” ABA therapy requires an intensive 1 teacher to 1 child ratio that most families of children with autism can’t afford. “Families of children with autism are often overwhelmed by the financial burden associated with treatment. We established The Autism Grant to help families in dire financial need,” said grant founder, Don Busick. Working with children with autism requires extensive training to develop the specialized skills necessary to unlock the full potential of young children. “One of the main principles of applied behavioral analysis is the concept of positive reinforcement.
