Ludacris responds to Big Sean and Drake

Nov. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- In what is becoming a heated rap battle, Ludacris has responded to accusations by rappers Drake and Big Sean in his new song “Bada Boom.”

Drake claims that Ludacris has been using a type of flow, which involves a rapper saying a statement, then ending it with a popular reference of someone or something that does or uses or can be compared to the original statement (i.e. “I run dumb miles, Forest Gump) that he credits Big Sean for first using throughout an entire verse, and says that Ludacris has not been using it well. Drake said in an interview with AllHipHop.com regarding Big Sean and the flow he uses, “That’s the first guy I heard utilize that flow throughout the duration of a verse. I’ll give him that credit.”

Talking about Ludacris Drake continues, “I don’t want to offend somebody…I hate that rappers picked that flow up. I wish they had left that for people that know how to use it. [They go like] “It's a parade! MACY'S!” Now Drake doesn't mention Ludacris directly, but it was Ludacris who rapped that line. Big Sean, on the other hand, does mention Ludacris in an MTV.com interview, where he said, “Don’t get it wrong I’m not trying to dis Ludacris or nothing. He’s a great MC. But even though that style got so overused, there was a lot of people who did it great and there was a lot of people who didn’t do it so great.”

In Ludacris' new song he gives a little history lesson before he comes in rapping, showing that the flow Drake claims Big Sean created, and how he made it popular, has been in the rap game for many years and he highlights himself among many other famous rappers, including Biggie Smalls and Method Man using that very type of flow. On the track he continues to blast the rappers, never by name, saying that he has been rapping for years and they have no right to talk about him since they have never been as big as he was and is.

We can only wait and see if and when there will be a response by Drake and Big Sean.
