QualityLogic and KEPCO Sign Memo of Understanding

Nov. 29, 2011 - PRLog -- QualityLogic Inc. and Korean Electric Power Corporation announced today that they have signed a Memo of Understanding (MOU) to research the feasibility of commercializing KEPCO’s IEC 61850 Client Conformance Test System. IEC 61850 is a leading protocol used for Substation Automation Systems. KEPCO developed a client conformance test to validate 61850 devices in their lab before deployment and now wants to make the test available to utilities and device manufacturers around the world to help with their deployments. QualityLogic is a leading provider of commercial testing products for smart grid protocols and will work with KEPCO to bring this test suite to market.
