Geetu Hinduja enthrals a packed house

Geetu Hinduja sang to a packed house. People came by the droves and stayed.

Nov. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- The performance began with a rousing chant of Lord Shiva set to some reverberating music. The guests waited in anticipation at the end of every song; whats coming next. "Carnival' , a brilliant rendition, just about sums up the energy of her performance. It was soulful music at its best; the tempo kept changing from soup ballads to peppy numbers

Dressed in a lovely black gown with applique rose motifs; Geetu Hinduja, a well known doyenne of fine arts proved that you can find your true calling later in life. A lot of the guests turned up as they had known her for the longest time and knew that whatever she did; she would do a very good job of it. Poonam Soni and Sharon Prabhakar sang along wherever they could. An unlikely guest Harsha Bhatkal let his hair down a bit as Krishna Hegde celebrated the performance and the atmosphere.

The core band consisted of Geetu Hinduja on vocals & acoustic guitar, Prasad Ruparel on acoustic / electric guitar (he is the composer/arranger for the band) & Shriram Sampat plays the flute. The band is equipped to give a broader sound by including a percussionist, a bass player & backing vocals, depending on the size of the venue. 'Brown Folks' music falls into the genre of Acoustic Contemporary Folk/Alternative. All of them work through the day and moonlight as musicians for the band.

"My music celebrates empowerment and emancipation," said Geetu, as she prepared to meditate for some time alone to focus just before her performance.
