Fashion For A Cure's Coat Drive

Help Fashion For A Cure and Brown Bag Lunch Program provide coats for families in need.

Dec. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- (Newark, NJ)  December 6, 2011-Three months ago Fashion For A Cure (F.F.A.C.) volunteered at a Bethlehem Community Church’s lunch program, Brown Bag Lunch. Motivated by the effectiveness the program has on their community, F.F.A.C wanted to play an active role in aiding to their service to the community. Following a meeting with the program coordinator of Brown Bag Lunch, F.F.A.C. committed to hosting a coat drive. The goal of the drive is to provide new or slightly worn coats for at least 10 families of five or more that are served weekly through the Brown Bag Lunch program.

The coat drive kicked off December 2, 2011 and will end with a coat drive event on December 24, 2011. F.F.A.C will accept coats of any size, for all ages, and genders. Throughout the duration of the drive there will be drop off locations and time slots allotted for staff to arrange coat pick ups. To obtain more information about the drop off and pick up sites email info[at]fashionforacure.org. “We believe with the help of our loyal supports, we can exceed our goal,” stated Sean Christopher, CEO and Founder of F.F.A.C, “but we’re going to work hard to make sure we reach nothing less than our set goal.”



About Brown Bag Lunch Program:

Established in 2000 as a result of a pastoral vision, it is a community feeding program. It is a brown bag lunch where community members come in to receive a well prepared lunch. The lunches consist of turkey ham and cheese sandwiches, snack, and a drink. The desire is to feed the community; spiritually and naturally.
