Blessings Come From Those Who Are Blessed

Dec. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Local artist hosts charity event for underprivileged children and families.

A quote by Rachel Naomi Remen states, “We are all born to be a blessing.” As we approach the holiday season, we look forward to spending time with family and friends, opening presents, and eating a hearty meal in our warm homes. We tend to forget how much of a blessing it is to not only have the bare necessities in life. We forget that there are others less fortunate that don’t have family or friends, nor a meal or shelter. We forget that it is a blessing to be a blessing to someone else.

Ronnie Marshall, also known as artist Ronnie Cash, wants to share his blessings with others who are less fortunate by hosting the “Blessed to be a Blessing” charity event. Open to the public, this event will include performances by Ronnie Cash as well as local poets and artists, food, and the musical stylings of DJ Major Minor of Mastermind Mobile DJs. He hopes to hosted several events during the year that will give back to those less fortunate.

Hosted at the legendary DBS Sounds Music Store in Riverdale, GA on Saturday, December 17 at 5PM, guests are invited to donate items such as new toys, clean and gently used clothing, shoes, canned goods, and blankets to help support local families who are less fortunate. With a few surprises in store, this event is slated to be full of holiday cheer and the giving spirit. Food sponsored by the Riverdale Dwarfhouse Chick Fil-A, Café Hot Wing, Atlanta Bread Company and other local businesses.

Blessed to be a Blessing is a free event hosted by Ronnie Cash on Saturday, December 17 from 5PM to 7PM at DBS Sounds at 6610 Highway 85 Riverdale, GA 30274. Guests are asked to bring a brand new, unused toy; clean and gently used clothes and shoes; and or canned goods.
