Xitron Announces New Screen CtP Interface for Harlequin and Adobe RIPs

Dec. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Xitron, a leading developer of open prepress workflow systems, has released a new interface for Screen CtP systems including the Screen 4300, 6600, 8300, 8800 and 16000 4-up, 6-up, 8-up and 16-up platesetters. Earlier Screen models are also supported by the new interface.

The Xitron Screen interface provides:

* Support for Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems
* Simple connectivity via USB
* Compatibility with Navigator workflow,  Xenith Sierra workflow and Raster Blaster TIFF catcher

The new interface is compatible with Xitron’s full line of workflow products including the Navigator workflow based on Harlequin RIP core technology, Xenith Sierra based on the Adobe PDF Print Engine and Raster Blaster, a TIFF catcher capable of accepting TIFF files from a variety of third-party workflow systems and outputting to any of the hundreds of devices support by Xitron.
