 "Art speaks to my soul," he says. "Because art gives me so much pleasure, it is exciting to share my love of art in this gallery. I get so much satisfaction from helping people choose art and turning them on to collecting. Life is too short to not appreciate art."
 After a long and successful career in the corporate world, the time was right for Michael to follow his passion and open an art gallery. Thus, his passion became his vision - to engender in others the deep sense of satisfaction and meaningfulness that he gets from art.
 "It all feels so right," says Michael about his new Ottawa art gallery. "I can't think of any time in my career that I've had that feeling." Bolstered by his long-established relationships with both international artists and art galleries, Michael set out to learn the ins and outs of running an art gallery. Along the way he secured the rights to carry a number of artists on an exclusive basis and amassed an impressive collection of original art for his stylish Ottawa art gallery.
 "This is a labour of absolute love," says Michael, who grew up in the neighbourhood where the newest Ottawa art gallery is located. "I put my heart and soul into the Michael Gennis Gallery. It is my gift of love back to Ottawa."
