Beaufort International Film Festival Names Finalists and is Ready for 2012

Filmmakers from around the world are once again set to appear at the Sixth Annual Beaufort International Film Festival taking place Feb 15 - 19, 2012 in the historic city of Beaufort, SC.
 
Dec. 27, 2011 - PRLog -- The 2012 Beaufort International Film Festival will be held February 15-19.   With entries from 25 countries, in the categories of Feature Films, Shorts, Animation, Student Films, Screenplays and Documentaries, the 6th annual Beaufort International Film Festival is ready for action. With more than 35 filmmakers from around the world about to make their way to the historic city of Beaufort, the focus is on the newest generation of filmmakers and storytellers as they share their passion projects with an adoring film loving public. “We say it every year, but this year really could be the best yet. We have a new venue, some new awards, and really high expectations.  We have raised the bar once again. " stated Ron Tucker, Film Festival ExecutiveDirector.  The 2012 festival will also feature more regional filmmakers than in past years.   In addition to several great films, the very successful  Screenwriter’s Table-Read will return, facilitated by each Screenwriter Finalist.

In addition to the impressive attendance by the filmmakers, also appearing will be Academy Award nominated Film Editor, Craig Mckay who will be presented the Jean Ribaut Award for Excellence in Film Editing. The Jean Ribaut Award for Excellence in Stunt Coordination will also be presented to Cal Johnson.
