Alexandra Cummings launches a Photographic Image gallery at Fine Art America

Jan. 2, 2012 - PRLog -- After her success with Society6, Alexandra Cummings has joined the on-line art phenomenon that is Fine Art America. UK based Alexandra is curating her own work and some of the best pieces will be featured in several FAA galleries with gallery rooms devoted to distinct photographic genres.

Those who know Alexandra's work have already identified the classic, yet experimental nature of her work. Alexandra uses 35mm equipment for many of the exhibits, but has also embraced the digital age with passion.

Although many of the works are abstract - and it might be assumed that many of these pieces are the result of digital enhancements - these are all images that have been created as one-shot 35mm photographs with no enhancement at all.

Alexandra has worked for a number of years as both a photographer and an illustrator - and it is this artists discipline that informs much of her work. The shots are framed and edited before the camera shutter is released. There is no spillage, little wastage. The results are often surprising - especially in the abstract range.

Alexandra will be building and populating more rooms at Fine Art America as the new year progresses. There will be much to see.
