Young actor Matthew J. Johnson stars in the dramatic inspirational feature film The Family Guardian

Jan. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- Sixteen year-old Contemporary Gospel singer and actor Matthew J. Johnson is currently promoting his starring role in the dramatic inspirational film The Family Guardians. Matthew J. also graced the stage Thursday December 1, 2011 at the Capri Theatre and will perform December 31, 2011, New Years Eve, at the Glendale SDA Church in Minneapolis.

The Family Guardian is produced and directed by Lee H. Jordan. The film has already been screened at the Black Twin Cities Film and will be shown at the National Film Festival as well. The dramatic inspirational film is about 17 year-old Elizabeth, played by Lexee Crystal Harris, who finds herself pregnant and all alone. Matthew J. Johnson plays the young teen father.

As an Urban Contemporary Gospel singer Matthew J. performs quite frequently. Upcoming performances include Saturday December 31, 2011 at the Glendale SDA Church for their New Years Eve service and he recently performed at the Capri Theatre - both in Minneapolis.

The very talented singer/actor has also performed in the Minneapolis stage play “Revelation Judgment Day,” Johnson played Thomas - a singing angel.
