Guitarist Craig Chaquico to Guest on “Breakfast with Gary & Kelly” Broadcast

Jan. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- Saddleback College radio station KSBR 88.5FM and the City of Mission Viejo are proud to announce that the “Breakfast with Gary and Kelly” radio for TV broadcast will kick off their second year on January 21, 2012 with special guest Craig Chaquico.  The Saturday morning radio show will broadcast LIVE starting at 9:00am from the Norman P. Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way in Mission Viejo.  

A studio audience will be welcomed in for the 10:00 am to 12 pm show; doors will open at 9:00 am with the final hour being videotaped for later broadcast.  The program airs on the City of Mission Viejo’s MVTV Channel 30 every Tuesday through Sunday evenings at 8:30 and also airs on Saddleback College’s SCTV Channel 39 on the Cox Communication cable system in south Orange County.  The audience will be admitted for free but seating is limited.  Reservations can be made online at www.ksbr.org.

Craig Chaquico has engaged and inspired two generations of pop music fans, first as a founding member, lead guitarist, and a prolific principle song writer for the multi-platinum Jefferson Starship/ Starship - '70s, '80s, '90. While others came and went Craig is the only person in the band to appear on EVERY recording, tour, MTV video, album, CD, and hit song during that time. With 20 Gold records combined between Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship and Starship, Craig was instrumental in making that combination one of the most successful bands in history.  In the 1990s, after finding himself at the top of the national charts in each of 3 consecutive decades with his first band, Craig left the fast-paced pop world and reinvented himself as an award winning, #1, GRAMMY nominated, million selling solo artist, songwriter, producer, and band leader, #1 in Billboard for his CDs and songs, Guitar Player Magazine Readers' Poll Winner for Best Pop Instrumental Guitarist, Jazz Iz Magazine list of Top 100 Most Influential Guitarists of All Time.

Past guests on “Breakfast with Gary & Kelly” have included Debbie Reynolds, Linda Evans, Peter White, Diane Schuur, Bobby Caldwell, Paul Brown, Warren Hill, Bill Cantos and more.  Gary and Kelly have conducted numerous remote broadcasts from locations all over Southern California, including the Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach and Catalina Island and they have hosted many celebrity guests.
