Seminole Greek Alumni Foundation, Inc. Appoints Strategic Committee On Hazing

Jan. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- The Foundation, following discussions with Administration Officials at Florida State University, has appointed four Strategic Committees to work with the Administration, the Florida State University Greek Fraternities and the Interfraternity Council to address concerns and priorities of all parties. All parties have agreed to fully cooperate and participate in addressing these concerns and priorities.  The four Strategic Committees appointed and their chairmen are as follows:

      Standing Committee on Hazing: Chairman Matt Liebenhaut
     
      Standing Committee on Law Enforcement Relations: Chairman Jimmy Keen

      Standing Committee on University and IFC Judicial Processes: Chairman Rick Benton

      Standing Committee on Philanthropy and Community Service: Chairman Jay Revell

These Chairmen and their Committees will work closely with the Administration at Florida State University and the individual Fraternities and their Chapter Advisors and National Governing Organizations on the development of beneficial policies and procedures.  Common ground on and a clear understanding of policies in these critical areas will create a closer and better defined working relationship among these parties and an understanding of issues and programs of interest and concern to the Greek Fraternity Community and the Florida State University Administration.  

Each of these Standing Committees are chaired by original Founding Directors of the Seminole Greek Alumni Foundation, Inc. with strong professional backgrounds in law enforcement, the legal community, business and government.  The Committee Chairs are currently in the process of extending their committee participation to involve both undergraduate Fraternity members, alumni and officials of the Administration at Florida State University.

The Foundation and its membership reaches across generations of every Fraternity at FSU and has been organized and designed "...to promote and advocate for the Greek Fraternity Chapters chartered at Florida State University, providing Support--morally, professionally and financially, to the undergraduate and graduate members thereof and Florida State University as a whole". At present time The Foundation has over 70 influential founding directors, many of whom are Chapter Advisors, House Corporation Presidents, and prominent local and statewide alumni in every facet of government, education, business and private industry. We are here to assist both our Fraternities at FSU and the Florida State University Administration in sustaining and strengthening our great Fraternities and their active and alumni members.
