Jan. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- For the 2nd year in a row Renters Warehouse has collected winter clothing items for those in need through their Mitten Drive, with all collections going to Sharing and Caring Hands Minneapolis. Started in 2010 by Renters Warehouse and partners Igniting Impulses, and Grain Studio the Mitten Drive was created to provide to those who can’t afford the simple winter luxuries of mittens, hats, and scarfs.

The Mitten Drive 2010 turned out great results as Renters Warehouse was able to collect 4,435 pairs of mittens. For the Mitten Drive 2011 Renters Warehouse was able to collect 1,928 items including mittens, hats, and scarfs of which they again donated to Sharing and Caring Hands Minneapolis.

Renters Warehouse will keep the Mitten Drive tradition going for the third year in a row, with Mitten Drive 2012 which will take place in December. Throughout the year keep an eye open and check your closets for gently used/new hats, scarfs, and mittens that you no longer use and would like to donate.
