Restaurant is now open every night for Dinner and on Sundays for Brunch

Saugerties, NY (January 11, 2012) – The Tavern at Diamond Mills has officially opened to the public.  The Tavern opened with gusto on New Year’s Eve and was a huge hit with guests immediately.  The Tavern is part of Diamond Mills Hotel (http://www.diamondmillshotel.com/), a Saugerties NY Luxury Hotel, which opened on Dec. 9, 2011.  This privately-owned, boutique hotel sits between the Hudson River and the majestic Catskill Mountains and overlooks the picturesque waterfall of the Esopus Creek.

The Tavern at Diamond Mills menu offers an amazing array of world-class cuisine highlighting the best of the Hudson Valley, paired with high-quality meats, fish, house-made pastas, breads and pastries.  Most importantly, Chef Napoli will source as much locally as possible, offering local craft brews, hand-crafted cocktails, using spirits from local distilleries, and the finest wines from New York State, as well as from around the world.
The menu at the new Hudson Valley Restaurant (http://www.diamondmillshotel.com/tavern-menu) includes many specialty items specifically created by Chef Napoli to delight guests of all culinary tastes.  Sharing plates include carefully selected Artisanal Cheeses and a Charcuterie Board with domestic and international meats and pates.  First courses range from Chef’s take on Lobster Corn Chowder (with bacon relish and avocado) to a Wagyu Beef Carpacio.  Main courses are varied from Local Farm Raised Chicken with Braised Dandelion, Porcini Polenta and Honey Garlic to a 10oz special blend of local Hudson Valley Beef Tavern Burger.  Seafood dishes include a Cedar Plank Roasted Wild Steelhead Trout and a Pilsner Battered Fish & Chips.   Staying true to his Italian roots, Chef Napoli includes a variety of pasta dishes including a Braised Pork Cheek & Foie Gras Tortellini and a Cauliflower Risotto with Sea Scallops.
Whether dining al fresco on the grand, sweeping deck overlooking the falls of the Esopus or cozying up in a booth by the fire of the main dining room, The Tavern at Diamond Mills is the perfect place to meet friends, have a romantic dinner or grab a quick bite at the bar. The Tavern also offers private dining in the Library or on the Mezzanine to accommodate as many as 30 guests, as well as an elegant Sunday Brunch.  Open for dinner Sunday through Thursday 5pm-10pm, Friday and Saturday 5pm-11pm and Sunday Brunch 10:30am-2:30pm.
