C&I Studios Breathes New Life into FAT Village with Grand Opening on January 28th, 2012

Jan. 12, 2012 - PRLog -- C&I Studios, a local media company specializing in photography, film, graphic design, and audio production, recently took over the defected space at 541 NW 1st Avenue in Fort Lauderdale’s art and culture epicenter, FAT Village. With a complete overhaul of the space, addition of a 30’ CYC Wall, studio lighting and sound, and hundreds of hours of manpower, C&I Studios is ready to invite the public to tour the space in a collaborative Grand Opening effort that fuses local music, artists, and fashion on January 28th at 8pm.

Executive Director, Joshua Miller is “excited to open a studio in Fort Lauderdale that is focused on creativity and community growth. The Grand Opening is an invitation for local creatives to imagine the possibilities of what can happen in the space. We are really excited to see what projects are created here.”

The event includes live photography from Julia Cox and Andre Rowe, a runway show featuring Montce Swimwear and Etiquette Boutique, hair and makeup artistry from 2Face Art, graffiti by Carlos A. Lange, and live musical performances by Kids [celebrating their album release] and Civilian.

Josiah Sampson from KIDS states, “Sink or Swim is the launch of a new era for us, and it is an honor to release it at C&I Studios grand opening.”

Beginning at 8pm, this event is open to the public, and coincides with the FAT Village Art Walk. Bands take the stage at 9pm.
