SMDC tops Colliers' developers' list

Jan. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- According to Colliers, SMDC surpassed over a hundred other property developers by having sold the most number of Metro Manila residential condominium units in 2010. In 2009, SMDC took the number one spot in a similar study from Colliers.

The Colliers report for 2010 stated that, “SMDC has maintained its sales momentum, having sold more than 9,000 residential condominium units in 2010, nearly double its full year 2009 sales of 4,700 units.”

It added that, ‘given this figure, the company has a 23% market share of the approximately 40,000 residential condominium units sold last year. SMDC’s strategy of affordable pricing coupled with flexible payment terms continues to attract market reception.”

With this result, SMDC said it is further encouraged to continue and enhance the business model that the company has consistently implemented in all its projects.

SMDC said it firmly intends to provide more high-quality homes in prime locations at affordable prices, which are the cornerstone of its two brands, SM Residences and M Place. Both brands are finding warm acceptance from the market. The firm has a current portfolio of 14 residential projects, 13 of which are in Metro Manila and one in Tagaytay City in the Province of Cavite.

Last year, the company launched its new brand, M Place, through the unveiling of its inaugural project, M Place South Triangle, along Panay Avenue in Quezon City.

Together with the company’s SM Residences brand, M Place bolsters SMDC’s market presence and product offerings. With many of its residential projects nearly sold out, SMDC plans to unveil five new projects this year.
