Florida School District Launches Educator Evaluation System to Drive Professional Growth

Jan. 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Volusia County School District in Florida, in partnership with Truenorthlogic, recently launched a comprehensive leader evaluation platform in their nearly 61,000 student district.  The system follows the State of Florida’s Individual Professional Development Plan guidelines and allows the district to incorporate its own educator effectiveness vision, including evaluations, observations and growth plans.   With Truenorthlogic’s growth planning and assessment tools, Volusia will be able to identify and support each administrator’s specific unique growth needs.  The district will have consistent data on an educator’s performance, such as linking a leader evaluation with individualized recommended growth plans and professional learning opportunities.  The next step in Volusia’s educator effectiveness strategy is to implement a teacher evaluation system, in conjunction with Truenorthlogic’s solutions, later this school year.
