Follow on Google News | The Danish IT Industry Association repeats successful training course for software product managersThe 15 seats at a completely new training course for Software Product Managers (SPM) were sold out in just 4 days. The SPM course will now be repeated March 26-28, 2012 in Copenhagen.
By: TBK Consult ApS - A product manager is a 'mini-director' who has to ensure that the product becomes and remains a market success. There is a crying need to improve qualifications in this area, so we have decided to do something about it. The new course will also support our efforts to make sure that central product planning remains in Denmark, explains Morten Bangsgaard, Managing Director at IT-Branchen. The course will be run at the IT University of Copenhagen and is being set up in cooperation with The International Software Product Management Association, which will accredit the certification of course participants. In smaller companies the position of product manager may be less formal, but as ambitions expand, the job of product manager will soon become a central, full-time position. Success on international markets presupposes the structuring, management and communication of product plans, and in this context the product manager becomes very much a key player. The course will be run by Hans-Bernd Kittlaus, a former Software Product Manager at IBM in Germany. He has published the book, 'Software Product Management and Pricing', and is the product management consultant for companies such as Lycos, Deutsche Telekom and SimCorp. The course, covering three whole days, will take place at the IT University of Copenhagen. The next course will run 26-28 March 2012, with a maximum of fifteen participants. The SPM training activity is produced by ITB and TBK Consult. The course language is English.
