PPG expands member services in Middle East and South America

Jan. 25, 2012 - PRLog -- Heavy-lift freight forwarding network, the Project Professionals Group has appointed Inchcape Shipping Services as the new Project Support Member for Qatar, Bahrain, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
PPG general manager Kevin Stephens said Inchcape Shipping was one of the world’s leading maritime service providers with its origins dating back to 1847.
He said the company provided a growing range of outsourcing services including liner agency, husbandry offshore support, surveying, global crew and marine spares logistics, port agency management and commercial representation. Services were also provided through subsidiary ShipNet and other associated providers.
“Inchcape operates out of major ports worldwide and will offer PPG members an excellent gateway to and from the Middle East region, particularly for heavy-lift and over dimensional cargos for the energy industry,” Mr Stephens said.
Meanwhile, Mr Stephens said Mercomar SA had been appointed as the network’s project forwarder member representing Uruguay and Paraguay. Mercomar are a group sister-company of Robinson Project and Logistic who are PPG’s new member for Argentina.
The membership for all three countries will go under the name of Mercomar in Argentina.
