Kristina Monroe writes of a world balanced by natural beauty and lore. She has run with the humans, and danced with the butterflies. She has giggled with faeries and offed the head of dragons, with pen and paper in hand Kristina captures the world around her and a world blurred behind many lines of visionary expectation.

A single smile can create an abundance of joy. A hurting heart can touch the unreachable. The moon and sun will forever be in earthly balance. The universal conscience has pulled together the pages that follow. The author shares a life with the reader. Her darkness and pain, love, life, energy, and light take the literary form of a road well traveled.

Castle Walls

When I looked
Inside the gate
My eyes grew ripe
There was a garden
And a great huge castle
Way high up
There was a window
But a sign to my left read:
No Trespassing
Nothing mattered
Not you
Not me
I had to get through
Way high up
There was a window
It was easy
In the middle of the night
It was easy
To slip into the garden
It was easy
To scale the castle wall
It was easy
To slip inside the window
Run
Through the halls
The consequence
Was loneliness
Just me behind the castle wall
