Voiceover Workshop Coming to KTHO Radio in Ventura California

Darrell Wayne, is deejay and broadcast executive with roots at KROQ in Los Angeles
and current owner of KTHO Radio in South Lake Tahoe, and Mark Alyn, of Mark Alyn
Communications is featured as on and off camera broadcast talent as well as being a talk
show host and voiceover specialist.
Wayne commented “ Most of the voiceover workshops and training are centered around
Hollywood and do not afford folks north of the Valley an opportunity to get together and
record and critique each other on a regular basis. Jobs in the radio market are getting
relatively thin and working professionals, as well as those willing to learn, need this
networking opportunity.”
Alyn emphasized “We are working on an impressive list of special guests and after
spending just a few hours at Darrell’s Ventura studios, I assure you, this will be fastpaced,
fun and exciting. We are reaching out to folks of a multitude of talent levels. This
is NOT formal training, but a meeting place for a fair exchange of ideas and an
opportunity to all benefit from each other’s knowledge and experience.”
The good news is that EVERYONE will get one of their reads ON THE AIR on the West
Coast, Mid-West or East Coast. This will be great for their portfolio.
Workshops are forming now and starting soon. Sizes will be limited to 12 participants to
make sure everyone gets full exposure.
