BACKGROUND

Chain of custody certification for timber and paper products is considered to bring significant environmental, social and economic benefits to the forests from which certified products originate and to the public perception and reputation of companies that trade certified timber and paper products. However, the process of certification can appear complex when an organisation is faced with certification standards for the first time. The webinar is designed to provide participants with an understanding of certification systems and processes, information about how they can use their certification to their best advantage and what to expect from the audit itself.

In addition, the webinar will provide participants with information about current market trends for certification and highlight the importance and relevance of traceability for products that are utilized in the timber, paper and packaging industries across the globe.

The webinar will be delivered by personnel with experience auditing chain of custody systems and will presented in a relevant and informative manner by individuals with specific experience of the timber, paper and packaging sectors.
