Urban Adventure Quest Launches Boston Scavenger Hunt Tour

Part game, part city tour, Urban Adventure Quest launches interactive, smart phone guided, scavenger hunt tour in Beantown.

Feb. 8, 2012 - PRLog -- Now there is a new way to explore Boston, turning it into a giant game board. Part game, part city walking tour,  Urban Adventure Quest  is an interactive adventure that navigates teams through downtown Boston and the North End as they solve clues and complete challenges, while seeing historical sights and learning American history. The Boston Urban Adventure Quest tour lasts between two and three hours, making the Boston Quest the perfect weekend outing for friends, families and those looking to do something different in their own city.  New in town? The Boston Quest is a great way to see the major sights while playing an interactive, engaging game.

The Boston Quest starts at America's oldest public park, Boston Common, and follows the Freedom trail to: the final resting place of Samuel Adams; the historical State House; the smorgasbord that is Quincy Market; the simple home of an American revolutionary; and the delicious pastry shops of the North End. Participants will learn plenty of American history, fun facts about Boston, and discover new places to nosh.

Urban Adventure Quest  is different from other scavenger hunt tours in one critical way... all directions, hints and game information are provided to participants through the use of their smart phone.  The company’s Web-based software guides teams during their Quest, while keeping track of points and time. Participants play on their own schedule and choose their own pace of play. The tour is one low price for each group, regardless of the number of people. The Quest software keeps track of each team’s score and time, making it easy to declare a winner. The top 25 scores are posted on the Leader Board for each individual city.

“As fans of the T.V. show,  Amazing Race , we always wanted to take part in this type of adventure, but couldn’t take the time off from our “real jobs” to do so,” said Urban Adventure Quest owners, Robbie Bos, Christie and Tami Walker. “Wouldn’t it be great if there was a way to experience the excitement and adventure of the Amazing Race in just one day?”

Family owned and operated, the Urban Adventure Quest (UAQ) team has created interactive Quest adventures in the following cities: Atlanta, Ga.; Boston, Ma.; Catalina Island, Calif.; Dallas, Texas; Hollywood, Calif.; Honolulu, Hawaii; Las Vegas, Nev.; Los Angeles, Calif.; New York, NY; San Diego, Calif.; San Francisco, Calif.; and Vancouver, British Columba, Canada.

Whether groups run the Quest as a race or take their time and enjoy the city,  Urban Adventure Quest  will help participants experience a city in a whole new way.
