Excitement Grows Around the Launch of Titanic 3D

Feb. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- It may have been originally a hit movie in 1997, but for fans of the TAG Heuer Watches ambassador Leonardo DiCaprio, the re-launch of Titanic in a brand new 3D format is still going to be an epic event.

Excitement for the launch of the film has been building for months. But, in a recent interview with American national newspaper USA Today, his former co-star Kate Winslet has declared the reissue as “Extraordinary” Although she expressed unease with seeing her 15 year old performance due in part to her growth as an actress in the intervening period.

The glowing description of the technical quality of the film came after Winslet saw 17 minute of the footage created using a computer process to add a 3D effect to films made in a standard cinema format.

It is not yet clear if Leonardo DiCaprio will promote the film alongside his former leading lady.  According to Hollywood rumours, the TAG Heuer Watches ambassador has refused to be involved in the promoting the movie in its new 3D format.  The Tag Heuer Watches fan was however quoted as saying he was “Excited to see it”

The film remains the second highest grossing film of all time after another picture by Director James Cameron’s other blockbuster, the 3D sci-fi adventure Avatar, which despite being billed as a 3D film was partially created using the same technology as the reformatted waterborne epic.

Reuters News Agency reported that the film’s distributors Paramount Pictures released the film as a one night only preview in 50 US and Canadian cities to celebrate Valentine’s Day.  It will open in North America on 4th April and is likely to receive it UK premiere around 15th April in memory of the hundredth anniversary  of the sinking of the vessel, 375 miles of south east of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
