Aquillrelle Contest 4 now is OPEN!

1. Participants must be above 18 years of age, or sponsored by such a person.

2. Any style accepted – rhyme, no rhyme, nature, family, erotica, personal, society, humor, etc.

3. We apply no censorship; however, it is fair to tell you up front that poems encouraging hate, violence, pornography, derogation of others, drug abuse, and similar – have no chance of winning. Of course, if such aspects are relevant and necessary as part of the “story” – then there is no problem in using them.

4. The specific conditions of each individual contest must be adhered to.

5. Proven plagiarism will result in indefinite banning from the site.

6. Previous Main Contest winners are ineligible to make further entries in any later Main Contest.

7. Previously published poems or winners of other contests can be submitted to the Aquillrelle Main Contest, provided that you are the poet and copyright holder.


participation and prizes

1 - No entry fee requested.

2 - Each participant can send 1 to 3 poems.

3 - We will have 3 prizes:

- 1st Prize: publishing of personal poetry collection, five free books and gold certificate.

- 2nd Prize: publishing of personal poetry collection, two free books and silver certificate.

- 3rd Prize: publishing of personal poetry collection, one free book and bronze certificate.

The personal poetry collections will be 80-150 pages. The authors keep all copyright to their poetry. All three winning poems and winning poets’ biographies will be published on-line.

4 - Winners will be paid royalties on any of their book sales beyond the prize allocations, as per Aquillrelle's normal publishing conditions.

5 - Ten shortlisted poems will be published on-line as well.


present contest specifics


1 - Submission period: 15 February - 15 July, 2012. Later submissions will not be accepted.

2 - Poem length: 10 to 50 lines, white lines included, titles excluded. Each poem must have a title.

3 - Submission mode: all poems must be in one single document, sent as an attachment to email. Accepted formats: DOC, DOCX, RTF, TXT. Only one submission per poet

4 - We will accept one single correction per poem, after submission.

5 - Results published before October 15, 2012.
