Corporate Finance Associates Names Doug Nix Dealmaker of the Year

Doug Nix was awarded top honors as CFA’s Dealmaker of the Year at the recent Winter Conference in Clearwater Beach, Florida.  Doug earned the prestigious award after closing multiple middle-market mergers & acquisition transactions in 2011 from his CFA office in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.  Although Doug and his team earned top office honors in both 2001 and 2005, this is Doug’s first individual Dealmaker of the Year award.   “Doug has a proven track record of getting deals done.  He is a long standing member of CFA’s management team and provides leadership to our organization," said Peter Heydenrych, Chairman of CFA Worldwide.

The conference, which took place January 26th through 28th, assembled M&A professionals from the United States, Canada, France and Brazil.  Conference sessions focused on the current state of the Mergers and Acquisition market and the prospects for 2012.  Private equity group panelists Westshore Capital Partners, KLH Capital Partners, Coleville Capital and Hammond Kennedy Whitney provided insight into the current private equity market including deal flow, current multiples and investment strategies.   Other sponsors of the event included Advantage Capital Partners, Bunker Hill Capital, Clearview Capital, The Comvest Group, Kidd & Company, Lincolnshire Management and Wafra Partners.
