Follow on Google News | John Palmer Art names Heifer International as its 2012 Charity of the YearArtist John Ross Palmer has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Houston-area charities through his donation of art, time, promotion and personal funds. In 2012, he has named a Charity of the Year and will support it through 2012.

"I have followed along closely with Heifer International's incredible mission of teaching families to be self-relian-- For being John Palmer Art's 2012 Charity of the Year, a portion of the funds raised at Palmer's black-tie gala on October 20, 2012 will be given to Heifer International. The Gallery will also host a "Heifer Party" on Sunday, December 2, 2012 where an original Palmer Heifer-inspired painting will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to Heifer International.
