New Year, New Coupe: 2013 Genesis Coupe Soon To Premier at OKC Hyundai

Feb. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- Fans raved over the first-edition Coupe, released back in 2008 to rival competitors like the Nissan 370z and the new Chevrolet Camaro V6. It premiered with the classic Hyundai styling, Brembo brakes, and a limited-slip rear differential. However, the 2013 cleaned out the closet, exchanging mild accents for sharp accessories.

OKC Genesis Coupe fans will first notice the face-lift the Coupe underwent for its new debut. The Fluidic Sculpture Hyundai design is obvious, complete with a hexagonal grille and HID headlamps, LED running lights, and new fog lights.

The hood features new faux-air inlets, resembling the new Hyundai Veloster in a distinctive, aggressive way. The 2013 Genesis Coupe remains largely unchanged, although OKC Hyundai fans will notice the new LED tail-lamps, and 18- and 19-inch wheels are now available.

The interior of the new Coupe was also cleaned up, adding three analog gauges to the center console and a simulated stitch-seam dash cover top. The easy-to-read dials provide even more information about what’s going on under the hood, such as gas mileage and torque. Any OKC Hyundai race driver would feel right at home behind the wheel.

The 2013 Genesis Coupe also got a touch-up under the hood: both the turbocharged four-cylinder and the V6 engines got an extra dose of power. For the four-cylinder, OKC Hyundai Coupe car drivers can now choose between the standard six-speed manual transmission, or the new eight-speed automatic.

Changes like these are for the better: not only did Hyundai increase horsepower, they also allowed for this little race car to gather up to 31 miles per gallon highway in fuel economy.
