Author Ann Hood and Agent Holly McClure to Visit Atlanta Writers Club

The Atlanta Writers Club announces guest speakers Ann Hood and Holly McClure for their March 2012 meeting.
 
March 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Ann Hood is the best-selling author of The Knitting Circle and Holly McClure is a principal of the Sullivan-Maxx Literary Agency.

Meet Authors and Agents in Atlanta

Guest speakers Hood and McClure will offer presentations to Atlanta Writers Club members at the club meeting on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Georgia Perimeter College. Hood is a memoirist, novelist, essayist and short story writer whose work has been featured in place such as Redbook, Glamour, Self and The Washington Post and The Paris Review.

Pitch Your Novel

McClure is a principal of the Sullivan-Maxx Literary Agency and will discuss finding and working with small, regional, and niche publishers. McClure and one of her local agents, Melissa Lee, will respond to 10-minute pitches throughout the day. The meeting will give Atlanta writers the opportunity to learn how best to market their book, the current state of the publishing industry and network with other writers in Georgia.

Atlanta Writers Club meetings begin at 1:30PM and are hosted at Georgia Perimeter College in Dunwoody in the Building NC auditorium. The March 17th meeting is open to all club members. Membership details can be found at www.atlantawritersclub.org.
