Minneapolis Designer Edie Sebesta named an Associate at U+B architecture & design

March 7, 2012 - PRLog -- MINNEAPOLIS -- Minneapolis retail architects U+B Architecture & Design - Minneapolis retail architects U+B Architecture & Design announced today that they have promoted Designer Edie Sebesta  to become an Associate with their company. She joined the Minneapolis architecture firm in 2004 and has been a key team member on an impressive range of residential, retail, commercial, and educational architecture projects.

A world traveler whose passion for different perspectives is seen in her ability to translate a client’s needs into first-rate architecture, Sebesta has become an essential partner to U+B Founders Paul Udris and Mark Burgess. “Edie’s performance as a designer and project manager has been exceptional,” said Udris. “Our clients love working with her and we are excited to see her continue to grow with our firm and look forward to many more years of creative collaboration.”

Before starting at U+B, Sebesta worked for the City of Minneapolis Municipal Building Commission to complete the historic renovation of Minneapolis City Hall, She worked at the University of Minnesota as an Adjunct Faculty member teaching architectural drawing to undergraduate students.  

Sebesta graduated summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota in 2000 and went on to complete her master’s degree in 2004.  She is the recipient of several prestigious graduate awards, including the AIA Henry Adams Medal, The Thomas Ellerbe Scholarship, Alpha Rho Chi National Medal, and Bernard Heim Endowment Thesis Award. Fluent in Polish, Sebesta spent several semesters studying in Poland, including a semester at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, one of the oldest Universities in Central Europe.

Sebesta currently lives in Minnetonka with husband Joe, daughter Norah, and son Emmett.
