March 8, 2012 - PRLog -- In late February 2012, Between the Worlds II: The Pyramid, a casual hidden-object adventure game developed by Puppet Life, was released for Mac and PC. The player is offered an opportunity to try the role of a seasoned detective and solve the mystery of a quirky professor who has disappeared. In the first week on the Mac App Store The Pyramid made it to Top 50 Adventure games in the United States, Canada, Sweden, Australia, and Luxembourg.

“With this game release we decided to tap into the power of Facebook in terms of support and game tips. We wish we got notifications each time the player is stuck and asks a question on a game forum because it’s quite a challenge to monitor all these resources and respond quickly. Of course, we’ll be doing that, but what if we use such an omnipresent platform both to improve the playing experience and make it easier for ourselves? We invite you to visit and contribute to http://www.facebook.com/puppetlife.games,” says the representative of Puppet Life.

From the very first scenes it becomes apparent that Between the Worlds II: The Pyramid is not a regular seek&find game, and one has to love adventure games and think out of the box to accomplish certain tasks successfully. Below are some excerpts of reviews from key contributors on a big game forum, which expose the nature of The Pyramid (punctuation and spelling preserved):

[jienabella]: I am a seasoned Point & Click Adventure player who has played every adventure on the PC since the Old Speccy and own over 600 HOGs. I think this game is worth playing to the end.

[Kirland]: Finished it. Very unique. Definitely had to dust off some of the grey cells. Good brain exercise. I really liked the clever puzzles. You don't often see great games like this that challenge the mind. Clever, Stimulating! This One Is A Winner!

[0Jade]: ...It's not just your run of the mill hidden object game with a few puzzles, it's more like an old-time adventure game with a few hidden objects that you can use to solve puzzles. I applaud their [developers'] attempt to be a bit different, but you have to like the true adventure game to even have a chance of liking this game. I actually quite enjoyed it.

[BB221B]: ...You need a bit more patience, but it was fun and the graphics are "up close" and just plain cool looking... go ahead and try, but don't be in a hurry... enjoy the difference here. :)

[woodspinner]: It was one of the most unique, "out of the box" HO adventure games I've ever played. You've never seen a game like this. In one HO scene, you must sweep the cursor back and forth to dissipate clouds. To display the hidden writing, click the blank paper on each glowing flask and then over the burning torch until the writing lights up. This is the quickest demo hour I've ever played. ... Wow.
